It's all about the molecules. A standard size molecule of oil is between 2-4 microns. To give you a visual, if a standard oil molecule is the size of a softball, our oil molecule would be the size of a BB. We restructured the oil so that it is one tenth of a micron (i.e. patented PPG molecules). We put a negative charge on these new patented nano-sized mono-molecular sized oil (i.e. patented PPG molecules). Due to a positive charge being created through friction in lubricated components (engines, gearboxes, transmissions, pumps, etc.) the Patented PPG oil molecules are magnetically drawn into the pores of the metal, this creating a unique and effective friction barrier between the moving parts.

Many oil companies like to say, "You don't need extreme pressure agents in motor oil due to boundary lubrication preventing metal to metal contact". Anyone that has performed a oil analysis will confirm that there is indeed metal-to-metal contact occurring within the motor and that the engine is comprised of a variety of different metal types. The fact is ... metal wear cannot be completely prevented, however it can be significantly reduced.
This picture below is a Iron ball bearing blown up to 1 Micron, this is a common metal surface in your engine. The Petron Plus™ Formula 7 molecules (as shown below on the right) are very small, 0.1 micron in size compared to solid additives (i.e. Teflon, PTFE, Moly, Graphite, Copper, Silver, Lead, etc.) that range from 2-10 microns in size. The nano-molecular Petron Plus™ oil molecules are very small, 0.1 micron in size (a human hair is ~40-50 microns). If you could imagine for a moment, the solid additives we are all familiar with like; PTFE or Teflon® (a registered trademark of DuPont), Moly, Graphite, etc. are all 2-10 microns in size. This is a substantial difference in size, especially when considering the very tight/very small metal-to-metal clearances encountered in lubricant service applications. When considering the nano-molecular level oil technology delivered via the Petron Plus™ Formula 7 technologies - it would be like coating/treating the metal surface with "BB-sized molecules" versus the "beach ball-sized molecules" found in your existing lubricant (see Micrographs below).

The bearing on the right was protected with major brand EP lubricant when tested in the friction wear demonstration unit. Note the size of the wear scar.
The bearing on the left showed minimal surface breakdown when it was subjected to three (3) times the load. In this demonstration the identical EP gear lubricant was used, with 10% by volume of Petron Plus™ Formula 7 Transmission & Gear Box Conditioner added to it. Note how significantly smaller the wear scar is.
At the load where the EP lubricant stopped the friction demonstration unit, the machine could be turned on-and-off with a full load on it with the Petron Plus™ Formula 7 added, and showed no increase in amperage. Then, with three (3) times the load, it showed only a slight increase in amperage.
They operate much like a cold virus … meaning that once they are added to an existing lube on a 10% by volume basis, they can’t be stopped.
The 'negative charge' of the Petron Plus™ Formula 7 molecule is what gives it staying power. Metal becomes 'positively charged' when heated, so the negative charge of Petron Plus™ Formula 7 creates a magnetic bond that creates a high shear strength layer of lubricant that even advanced oils can’t match. After adding our lube supplement to your existing oil, tiny molecules (less than 1 micron in diameter) are carried directly to opposing friction faces where they are attracted to the surface via intermolecular forces that “pull” the molecules to the surface where they cluster to fill in any pores or roughness. The remaining areas are covered by a layer less than one molecule deep (hence the term ‘Nano Monomolecular'). The net result is a reduction in friction, wear and drag. When applied to the existing lubes operating in mechanical componentry (engines, transmission, differentials, etc.) the net result is either a HP gain or a MPG improvement.The intense shear strength of these microscopic nano oil layers provides outstanding smooth running and reduced friction characteristics, under the most demanding of conditions, that even the most advanced AW (anti-wear) and EP (extreme pressure) lubricants fail to deliver.
