Be More Efficient With Petron 20310-Treated Fuel

From Diesel anti-gels to Gasoline lead substitutes we have you covered. Everyone that sells a fuel additive makes claims that their technology will:

  • Maximize power
  • Improve fuel economy
  • Provide additional engine lubrication better known as Stiction.
  • Prevent and clean-up dirty or plugging injectors
  • Boosts Cetane level
  • Boosts power

No one has been willing to do a SAE test to back up their claims ... until now. Why not, you may ask? Risk verses reward. Let us explain: SAE testing is very expensive. If your product does not live up to its claims, you'd have to change the way you advertise it. We knew that we had a winner with Petron technologies, so we paid to have it tested.

A THREE-YEAR PROGRAM INVOLVING NINE DIESEL VEHICLES WAS CONDUCTED TO QUANTIFY VEHICLE EMISSION PERFORMANCE. THE OBJECTIVE WAS TO EVALUATE THE ABILITY OF PETRON 20310 TREATED FUEL TO:

CONTROL EXHAUST EMISSIONS

REDUCE FUEL CONSUMPTION

A FLEET OF FOUR SMALL DIESEL PASSENGER CARS AND FOUR HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS WAS SELECTED ... AND SUBJECTED TO THE FOLLOWING TEST PROTOCOL:

A: HEAVY DUTY DI VEHICLES: FOUR TRUCKS WITH CUMMINS ENGINES WERE DRIVEN ON ROAD. TWO OF THEM WERE OPERATED WITH EUROPEAN COMMERCIAL DIESEL FUEL AND OTHERS WITH SAME FUEL BUT INCLUDING ADDITIVE 20310 AT THE SELECTED CONCENTRATION. TYPE ONE TRUCKS WERE BRAND NEW TYPE-II TRUCKS WERE TWO YEARS OLD WITH NEW REPLACEMENT INJECTORS. THE TRUCKS TRAVELED A COMBINED DISTANCE OF 279,630 MILES (450,000 KM).

B: LIGHT DUTY PEUGEOT: TWO NEW MATCHED PEUGEOT 306 1.9 LITRE IDI DIESEL PASSENGER VEHICLES WERE RUN 621 MILES (1000 KM) USING A STANDARD DIESEL FUEL. THE CARS WERE THEN TRACK TESTED TO ENABLE A 'ROA' LOAD POWER CURVE TO BE OBTAINED FROM THE COAST-DOWN TIME TO ENSURE ACCURATE SETTING OF THE DYNAMO METERS. THIS PROCEDURE WAS REPEATED WITH THE VEHICLES FULLY LADEN. NEW FLOWED AND MATCHED INJECTORS WERE INTRODUCED TO BOTH ENGINES AND THESE REMAINED WITH THE SAME VEHICLE THROUGH ALL TESTING. FROM THIS POINT THE VEHICLES WERE DESIGNATED AS A BASE OR AN ADDITIZED CAR AND A STRICT FUELING REGIME WAS FOLLOWED DURING TESTING.

Every claim made by PPG is backed by 3 different independent testing facilities.

  • 1 SWR (South West Research) - San Antonio, TX
  • 2 Transportation Research Center - East Liberty, OH
  • 3 Olson-EcoLogic Engine Testing Laboratories, LLC - Fullerton, California.

So how did Petron perform? The results were simply phenomenal:

  • Horse power was improved by 7.82%
  • Fuel mileage was improved by 13.31%
  • Manifold pressure increased by 9.8%
  • The Cetane level of the fuel was raised by 3 points
  • Toxic fumes which included Carbon Monoxide, Hydrocarbons, Nitrogen and Particulate matter were drastically reduced. (see full test below)
  • The lubricity of the fuel went from 0.667mm down to 0.317mm (ASTM-6079-99, HFRR) that is over 50%!
  • The Lubricity was improved by 24% using ASTM D6078-04, better known as the SL-BOCLE test
  • The Cold filter plug point (CFPP) was lowered by 20 degrees.
